Breeding Iberico Pigs the Right Way.

A small, deliberate program built on verified genetics, honest stewardship, and a genuine commitment to establishing the breed in the American Southeast.

What We’re Building

At Iberico Acres, the breeding program is not a commercial scale operation. It is a carefully managed foundation herd — built from documented Spanish Ibérico lineage, raised on rotational pasture in the Alabama Wiregrass, and managed with the long-term health of the breed in mind.

Jed’s goal extends beyond producing pigs for meat. He is committed to establishing a genuine, documented Iberico presence in the Southeast — and to sharing that work with other farmers who want to raise the breed properly. Every animal that leaves Iberico Acres carries full lineage documentation and the knowledge of where it came from.

Our Foundation Stock

Built on Verified Lineage

The Iberico Acres herd traces directly to purebred Spanish Ibérico genetics imported to the United States and established by Iberian Pastures of Bluffton, Georgia, one of the founding operations in American Iberico production. Our original foundation animals came from Glendower Farms of Monticello, Florida, whose stock has been DNA verified against the Libro Genealógico del Cerdo Ibérico reference markers by a recognised Spanish laboratory.

More recently we have significantly expanded through the acquisition of Acorn Seekers animals — both breeding stock and finished feeders — adding further genetic depth to the program. All Iberico Acres breeding animals are registered within the Iberico Pig Breeders Association herd book, with full sire, dam, and herd of origin documentation for every registered animal.

This is not a crossbreeding program dressed up as purebred production. It is a documented, traceable lineage — maintained honestly and represented accurately.

Who This Program Is For: Farmers, Breeders and Land Stewards

Iberico Acres breeding stock is available to a carefully selected range of buyers:

Specialty heritage farms looking to diversify with a high-value, well-documented breed. Small-scale producers targeting artisan markets such as charcuterie, farm-to-table, chef supply programs. Enthusiastic breeders who want to preserve and expand pure Iberico genetics in the United States. Land stewards interested in regenerative agriculture and heritage livestock systems whose natural behaviours actively support soil health and biodiversity.

We are not a volume supplier. We place animals with operations we believe will raise them well and represent the breed honestly. If that sounds like your farm, we’d like to hear from you.
